• Post-graduate certificate in Training and Consultation from Rutgers Continuing Education.
• Certificate in Geriatric Education from Hunter/Mt. Sinai.
• Member of the National Association of Geriatric Care Managers and the NY Chapter of Geriatric Care Managers.
• Member of the Staten Island Chapter of the New York State Society of Clinical Social Workers.

Ms. Ruggero has been involved extensively in the field of geriatrics since 1977 in a variety of capacities:

• Director of Social Work at Eger Nursing Home from 1977-1989.
• Grant writer for public programs.
• Workshop leader at conferences on aging and trainer/facilitator for senior citizen agencies.
• Instructor in Human Services at Wagner College.
• Former Member of the Staten Island Alzheimer's Foundation.
• Former Secretary to the Interagency Council on Aging.
• Founder of ElderCare Advocacy, a geriatric care management practice in operation since 1989.

Rita Maone

We are proud to welcome Rita Maone to the ElderCare Team. Besides her warm and friendly nature, Rita brings an 11-year history of experience in the health-care field.

Several years ago, she worked for the Metro Care Home Care Agency as a client coordinator. Before joining ElderCare Advocacy, Mrs. Maone was the administrative secretary of Eger Harbor House Assisted Living Facility.

Her goal has always been to assist and serve the senior population with dignity and respect. Her presence on the ElderCare Advocacy team ensures that your relative's needs receive individualized, compassionate attention.
